Greetings:
Welcome to WIPLA's new website. I hope that you will view the site as a resource for important information relating to our wonderful organization. I also hope that you will take the opportunity to provide comments, or suggestions for improvements and enhancements, that can be made to the site. Please browse through the site, and contact us.
As WIPLA's 2005-2006 year comes to a close, I am pleased to report that we have had a banner year. By year's end, we will have had seven meetings and heard presentations on a wide variety of timely IP topics. Talented and generous individuals have given of themselves to make these events happen. Thanks goes to the speakers for presenting, our WIPLA Board, and of course, our members. Also, I would like to note that we will have had three joint meetings this year, including one with the Milwaukee Bar Association (September 2005), one with the Licensing Executive Society (February 2006), and one with the Intellectual Property Law and International Practice Sections of the Wisconsin State Bar (May 2006) - and thanks to these organizations is also deserved.
We are anchored by a strong and growing membership, which is the lifeblood of our organization. Prospective members: please complete the informational page available via the link on this site. Current members: if you have not yet renewed your WIPLA membership (this is required every 1 - 2 years), please do so by returning the page (along with your dues) provided with this year's directories that were mailed out just recently. Also, I encourage you to do your part in helping WIPLA grow by spreading the word about WIPLA and taking the time to ask just one of your colleagues in the Wisconsin IP community who is not a member to join our terrific organization.
Finally, if you have not signed up already, please consider attending our Annual Golf Outing, which will be held on July 13, 2006, at Western Lakes Golf Course, located in Pewaukee. It will be a terrific time to get together with your fellow WIPLA members and enjoy a wonderful, warm (and hopefully sunny) day in Wisconsin.
